A native Californian, Bonnie Owen is a fine artist living and working in
San Diego. Using layered color and an abstraction of reality she has developed her own style of interpreting the world around her.
Her inspiration has come from the golden state of California, its sunny coastal towns, blooming inland valleys and a carefree outdoor life-style. The ocean, the ever-changing landscape and the people continue to be the focus of her work. Finding the balance between the visual image and her inner response to it continues to fascinate her audience.
A lifelong student of art, Bonnie has studied at UCSD, and the University of Hawaii. A graphic designer/illustrator for 20 years, her work has been published in books, magazines and educational materials for children.
She has exhibited at the San Diego County Fair, The La Jolla Art Association, Foothills Art Gallery, The Studio Door and other galleries in California.
She was a featured artist in La Jolla Lifestyle magazine and was named one of the “50 to Watch” artists in San Diego. Her paintings can be found in private collections nationwide. To view full CV click here: Bonnie Owen CV 2020.
